I explain in my book, Unleash Your Vision, the laws of attraction, and how they work.
It is a Christian and biblical principle; in a nutshell, what you put out into your living field of faith will return to you (Sowing and reaping/seedtime & harvest).
These principles work because they are laws that God set in order.
We acknowledge God as the master architect and designer of our lives and when we put our faith out, it is by the power of the Spirit of God that works on our behalf.
This law works in the reverse as well, if we utilize the spirits of satan; however the effects will only end in destruction no matter how nice the initial result is. You will find yourself seeking "stuff" and not the creator of the very things you are manifesting into your life. This is the equivalent of seeking "a blessing" and not "THE Blessing". let me further break it down as not to have any misunderstandings:
When you see leaves blow, hear the wind chime, watch trees sway, etc.. we say that's the wind; however, that’s not the wind, it is merely the effect of the actual wind.
So when we desire a car, a house or any other "blessing" as described in Hicks, Laws of Attraction, and do not seek God, or the very power behind the wind (The blessing), we end up with a superficial object that will not cause true happiness, nor will it last. What’s more, is we cut ourselves off from the very power (God) because we chose to operate in a system outside of the one He ordained for us.
What does all this have to do with Hicks - Laws of Attraction?
Hicks portrays that the teachings of the laws of attraction are given to him from Abraham. Who is abraham? in short, a demonic spirit (actually many, according to the author).
Hicks asserts that abraham is speaking through them as they write the details of the book. Others are encouraged to follow in their footsteps and permit abraham into their lives to achieve success.
This is a dangerous game and will end badly for all who play it.
Remember when King Saul went to the seer when he could no longer hear God?
A medium (such as the witch of Endor) was a person thought to have the power to communicate with the spirits of the dead. (Isaiah 8:19; 19:3; 29:4)
Isaiah 8:19 And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead?
Isaiah reveals that spirits and powers of the dark world have the ability to peep into our affairs, and to observe the ongoings of things all around us, and therefore to know much about us that we would only expect someone personally close to us to know about. God says that by seeking after wizards and witches, one is demonstrating that they are placing more faith in the false gods of this world than in the one true God. In Luke 20:38, God further reveals that he is a God of the living, and not a god of the dead.
According to the Law of Moses, anyone who professed to be a medium or a channel of communication to the spirit world was to be put to death by stoning, and this was the judgment prescribed by Samuel. A medium was considered a necromancer, or communicator of the dead.
The practice of being a necromancer was the craft or practice for extracting information of guidance from a Pagan god. The Bible explicitly teaches against this and its participation can only serve the purposes of Satan.
Leviticus 19:31 Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.
…Abraham in the book by hicks is one such spirit….
Leviticus 20:6 And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.
If your going to seek and manifest your vision and destiny, go to the one who knows them and made them… GOD.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
